FAQ

How much should I use?

If you're looking to do a full hair mask, we recommend using approximately 1-3 tablespoons - more or less depending on how much hair you have. If you want to use MASQ as a styling product to hydrate dry hair or split ends, use a few drops and work into hair as needed.

How do I apply my MASQ?

Each MASQ has it's own directions labelled on the bottle itself. You can also find the 'how-to-use' directions on the the product pages.

Should I heat the MASQ before applying?

While we don't recommend heating the MASQ before use, warming the oil helps with spreading the product and absorption. A safe method to warming the oil would be to place the MASQ bottle, with the cap tightly sealed, in a plastic baggy (as to not ruin the label) and place in warm water beforehand. This will also help with any solidifying of the product. Alternatively, you can warm the oil slightly by rubbing in your hands before applying to scalp and hair.

My MASQ solidified, what should I do?

MASQ is a natural product, so it may solidify when at a cooler temperature. If this happens, don't fear, place the MASQ bottle, with the cap tightly sealed, in a plastic baggy and place in warm water. Give it a good shake to avoid any separation before use.

What is the inversion method?

The inversion method is the process of applying the MASQ to the roots and scalp in a circular, massaging motion, while having your head in an upside down position to increase blood flow to your scalp and further promote the growth of healthy hair.

Will this make my hair greasy?

MASQ products are meant to restore your hair's natural oils and nourish the scalp for healthy hair, not leave hair with a greasy feeling. We recommend shampooing more than once if needed to avoid excess oil on the hair.
